Feed an Army of One (Pat's Original Diner)

Pat’s Original Diner – 1300 South Broad Street, Trenton (609)392-2024
(Directions)

OK, so your teenage son arrives home on Sunday around 11:30 PM. He’s been out all day, never ate dinner, and is starving. Where do you go with him? Easy, Pat’s.

Pat's Diner

First, and significantly, it’s one of the few (maybe only) 24×7 joints in Trenton. 2 AM or 2 PM, it’s all the same to Pat’s.

Second, for about $10 you can get a complete dinner: soup, salad, entree with 2 sides, desert, and coffee. Portions are HUGE. Only your teenage son is likely to be able to eat it all.

Hey, it ain’t gourmet. But it’s solid diner food. And at 11:30 PM on a Sunday, you could do a lot worse.

  • Pat’s diner is a real old-fashioned diner it doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Thank God! Best Greek omelets with lots of feta.

  • Carmen:

The night time host is an unfriendly grouch. His presence spoils an otherwise ok place to eat. I decieded never to go back.

Love Pat’s diner! It’s good, basic diner food at a reasonable price! I just cac’t figure out why it always gives me the shits!

  • Chrissy:

Best fried eggplant ever. Plus – my grandparents met there!

  • Ally:

Love Pat’s!! Go there every Sunday Morning!! Food is great comfort food!!

The girls are great and they treat you like family!

I went there with my dad who visited for a weekend and they did everything and anything possible to accommodate him. Love the service and these women have been here for years serving everyone and ALWAYS GET YOUR ORDER RIGHT.

Yeah maybe there can be a grouch but can you blame a woman for being on her feet for 12 hrs… I don’t think so!!
