  1. Camden is very filthy and there are panhandlers, drug dealers and it’s a crap shoot as to whether the bathroom will be open because they have people overdosing in the bathrooms. People will be getting high right out in the open in front of you. I find it very entertaining how they can ply their illicit trades and the cops can’t keep up. However, not to totally give Camden a bad rap, there’s a lot of revitalization going on with the hospitals and colleges. I prefer to take the Septa line from the Trenton Transit Center. I have done both ways, but the train from Trenton means one less transportation to have to take.

    1. It’s been a while since I’ve taken the Riverline regularly to Trenton. For a couple of years circa 2006, I commuted almost daily to Philly, changing trains in Camden to the PATCO high speed line. I preferred it to SEPTA, and never had trouble with panhandlers or the street scene.

    1. The River Line is about an hour, and then PATCO is about 10-15 minutes, depending on how many stops you are going. But part of it depends on how long you wait before the PATCO train comes.
