(Updated April 2016) Hong Kong Restaurant, located where Hamilton and S. Clinton intersect, is probably the best, true Chinese take-out in town.
This is a family-run restaurant, with an extensive menu cooked in front of you while you wait. If I’m going to take out, I much prefer something fresh cooked, than pulled off the steam table.
It’s not “gourmet” Chinese cooking, but it is good! Portions are ample, and it’s very reasonably priced: “Lunch specials” served during the week, are typically around $5.50. Most dinner-portioned entrees are under $10.
Hong Kong has no place to eat in, but there is a parking lot next to the restaurant. Order ahead by phone and pickup.
