Since 2010, DanceSpora has been Passage Theatre’s resident dance company at the Mill Hill Playhouse. Several times each year they perform extraordinary dance recitals, often mixing elements of classical, modern, salsa, and hip-hop, among other influences. DanceSpora is the collaboration of a husband and wife founding team: Pennsylvania Ballet alum Heidi Cruz-Austin and accomplished modern/hip-hop dancer David Austin, a Trenton native.
The recitals are truly special events, and the company is gaining a national reputation (performing recently at Jacob’s Pillow). The Mill Hill Playhouse seats only 100 people, providing a close-up, intimate experience. The shows almost always sell-out, so buy your tickets early.
