UPDATE: ANA’S CANDLES HAS ANNOUNCED THEIR LAST FACTORY SALE EVER. JULY 30-31, 2015 FROM 10AM-3PM, and AUGUST 1 FROM 9AM-1PM. (They aren’t closing, but feel that the factory sales are a disservice to local vendors of the candles).
Note: Ana Design sells retail exclusively via the Internet at www.fivestripes.com , except during its semi-annual clearance sale. Don’t show up at the factory unless you know a sale is on.
Some of the most beautiful candles on the planet are made in Trenton. Ana Candles, the original striped taper, are sold in premiere home decor, gift shops, and museums across the country. You’ve probably seen them: they have a unique horizontal striped design in a variety of exotic colors. The design can’t be made with conventional candle-making equipment – Frank Weeden, the late founder of Ana Design Corporation, invented special machinery to make it possible.
Twice a year, discontinued colors and seconds go on sale at Ana Design’s factory on Ott Street. You pay less than half the regular price of $16-$33 for a pair of tapered candles or pillar. There’s usually a big selection on sale, and we always buy a bunch to keep an inventory at home. In addition to just looking great wherever you light them, they make fabulous hostess or professional gifts.
The sale happens semi-annually, opening the factory to the public for 10 days a year – Fridays and Saturdays only 10 AM to 4 PM – as follows:
- The two weekends immediately preceding Easter
- 3 weekends preceding Christmas
If you want to get put on an email reminder list, drop them an email at email@example.com.
