  1. Place reall stands out in “Ghost Town” after 6.
I give Mr. Eric credit for keeping a World class establishment in a “going nowhere” city.
Unfortunately, it is, “what it is”.
BTW…some guy from area sues celebrities for 25 million, any truth?

  2. Well, I have to start by saying I’ve been a customer of Eric’s well before he opened Classics Books and Gifts! You won’t find anyone more knowledgeable or trustworthy – Eric knows Tomes! Congratulations on the new store Eric, and I envy all your locals that can visit you and your store any time they want! Michigan misses you!

  3. Just to brag, we recently won Business of the Year from the Trenton Council of Civic Associations for our community work and the Allies of Humanity award from BOOST for the same.

  4. Eric has been great letting us come into the store and share our poetry and music once a month! We love the store and the audience we get are great…they also have wall to wall selections of books to buy and read!

  5. When the history of great bookstores is written Classics will be rated with City Lights. It is the center of a network of culture and community that has a world class perspective; it has generated a renaissance on Warren Street, Trenton, a place where activists meet with romantics and literati and yet coexist.

  6. Classics is a favorite place for me and my family. Whether I am looking for a book club book, a kids’ book, or an interesting gift, I can be certain to leave Classics fulfilling a mission. Of course, as other posters have mentioned, it’s a congenial place to hang out, meet new people, and have fascinating and positive interactions with members of our great community. Check out Classics and you won’t be disappointed… in fact, you’ll likely be very pleasantly surprised!

  7. Classics is the hub of Trenton, good conversation, good books, splendid events, and of course Eric and Laurice. It is a wonderful place – a true Trenton Treasure!

  8. You get the best bookstore credit value for your books! A gem in its own way. Worth a visit especially if you like meeting people through games or books.

  9. Classics is the kind of bookshop that I’ve always dreamed of. It has lots of interesting books from any genre. It is also a meeting place to find smart and interesting people with ideas to share. You should stop by; it’s much better than watching TV at home.

  10. Going to Classics is always like going home. Lots of familiar friendly faces, interesting conversation, great literature and fun & games!

  11. Eric’s shop is definitely our favorite of the downtown shopping district. He provides wonderful service and he’s one of those people that you can’t help but love! Scrabble at Classics on friday nights has been our favorite social activity since we started playing last year. It’s truly a one in a million kind of place!!

  12. Classics is one of Trenton’s prime assets. No city can be said to be civilized without bookstores and Classics is one of the best. Highly knowledgeable staff, well organized stock and fair prices. Also – a real center of the commnuity with interesting stuff always going on. Even when events aren’t schedualed, there is usually good conversation in progress.

  13. Thanks Hidden Trenton for the write-up!

I just wanted to note that we have Scrabble every Friday from 6:30 pm to midnight, all skills levels are welcome.

We also have events every Saturday from 12 to 2: book signings and poetry readings, discussion groups and movies. To get on the mailing list, email me at book_cellar@mindspring.com.
