(Covid Update Dec 2021 – in business – Review updated June 2016) “It’s Nutts” is immediately adjacent to Washington Crossing State Park, and on the way to Baldpate Mountain. If you’re headed there, Nutts is a great place to pick up a well prepared, moderately priced meal (in an area that’s not known for bargains).
Open 7 days from 7AM to 9 PM, Nutts serves a mean breakfast (that’s VERY popular on weekends) as well as lunch or dinner.
Nutts creates one of the best, authentic Trenton-style tomato pies around. It was too far from town to qualify for our 2015 tomato pie competition, but except for distance, they almost certainly would have qualified as a finalist . We recently sampled one of their personal pies: the crust was first rate! Thin, flavorful, subtly crispy, without a hint of dryness. The mushrooms were fresh baby bellas, partially pre-cooked so as not to turn the crust soggy. Good quality sausage, intense tomato, and delicious, high-quality mozzarella. If you go on a Tuesday evening, a family size cheese pie is only $10.
In recent years, Nutt’s menu has become increasingly ambitious. It used to serve mostly burgers, cheese steaks, subs. Now you can order an eclectic range of dinner entrees from crab cakes to chicken marsala, to shepherd’s pie.
And great, homemade ice cream.
Just the place to tuck in after a long walk in the woods.

Had breakfast there last Saturday- service fine- overpriced! also- I had the worst biscuits and gravy of my life. They pour SOS gravy over 2 biscuits!!! horrible for anyone thats lucky enough to have had the real deal. Eggs were overdone and browned from the dirty flat top. Really gross experience.
