Located by the I-195 exit, Palermo’s just sneaks under our 10-minute drive-time limit despite being in Bordentown. It serves a solid tomato pie with a crust that stays crisp throughout the meal. It does lack char or complexity, and is slightly dry. Cheese is good, and the tomatoes are intense, if a little sweet. Mushrooms are fresh, cooked on top of the pie. The restaurant itself is pleasant enough, though located in an ugly little strip mall. Service is great.
