Nothing about La Villa’s tomato pie is completely conventional. For example, they’re the only pie we tried that was rectangular instead of round. La Villa’s crust is also, possibly, the thinnest in the competition: but consistently crisp and light and tasty. Great cheese and superb, intense crushed tomato (with strong, but not overpowering, garlic) round out a superb pie, making it our overall winner for the 2015/16 competition. The restaurant is a converted Pizza Hut, a little funky, but homey. Service is consistently excellent, and there’s a nice patio in front where, in warm weather, you can eat outside. BYOB. Recommendation: if you don’t like garlic, you might ask them to go light on it. [Read the Full Review]
